Advanced Diagnostics for Life
Fortress Diagnostics is a multi-award-winning global provider of in vitro diagnostics (IVDs). Through their global distribution network, they provide highly accurate medical testing solutions to immunology, haematology and serological laboratories in hospitals, medical centres, clinics, blood banks and research institutions in over 100 international markets.
Fortress Diagnositcs were preparing to move into their newly built facility in the Technology Park, Antrim. Along with this significant growth in business they wanted to revise their global presence and communications within the market.
We performed a number of brand workshops with the lead team at Fortress Diagnostics including customer and business profiling exercises. We included the team in our mood boarding stage also and got feedback the whole way up to the design stage. The process was extensive in achieving the right visual direction for the brand.
Pairing the idea of security and finding the plus and negative symbols with the F of Fortress was a turning point for the identity. Making these simple connections paved the way for the modern, eye-catching ident. The art direction focusses on the ‘why’, bringing the end user into the frame and explores the positive impact Fortress has across the globe. The colour palette was inspired by the global scrubs colour used by the nurse who administer the diagnostic kits.
